Angela Davis, Ph.D. (Licensed Psychologist)

Dr. Davis received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from SUNY, University at Albany, and completed her clinical internship at the University of Washington School of Medicine. While on internship, Dr. Davis received training in DBT as well as a brief intervention for suicidality (the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality). She also completed a fellowship at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University, where she received intensive training in evidence based treatments for eating disorders and anxiety disorders. Additionally, Dr. Davis has received extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and obesity. She works with adults, adolescents, and their families for problems related to emotion dysregulation, impulsivity, eating disorders, and mood disorders. She has a particular clinical interest in treatment for individuals with eating disorders and co-occurring problems and has co-authored chapters and several peer reviewed publications and presentations in this area. During her graduate training, she also co-developed a novel treatment for bulimia that is currently being evaluated in a research trial. Dr. Davis is a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
