Clara Doctolero, Psy.D., brings to EBTCS extensive experience with treating emotion dysregulation, impulsivity, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety, in a variety of settings including rural Hawaii and the Veterans Administration. She has a background in cognitive behavior therapy, short-term and long-term psychotherapy, and relaxation training. Prior to training as a psychologist, she also provided behavior therapy to children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed on the Autism spectrum, along with their families. Clara is dedicated to cultural sensitivity in the practice of psychology and is familiar with a wide range of patients in age, ethnicity, cultural traditions, and socioeconomic status. She received her doctoral degree from Argosy University of Honolulu, and completed her internship at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Clara is completing a Postdoctoral Fellowship at EBTCS in order to become a specialist in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). She is also currently a skills trainer on a research trial conducted by Drs. Melanie Harned and Marsha Linehan at the University of Washington. Clara is licensed as a psychologist in Washington State.
