Leslie Karwoski, Ph.D. (Clinical Fellow, Licensed Psychologist)

Dr. Karwoski sees adults, adolescents, and their families for problems related to emotion dysregulation, eating disorders, and mood disorders. A member of the Academy of Eating Disorders, she has a particular interest in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. Dr. Karwoski has a clinical faculty appointment in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington and has co-authored book chapters and presentations on eating disorders. She received her B.A. at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and her Ph.D. at the University of Kansas, where she had extensive training in cognitive-behavioral treatments and co-developed a novel treatment for depression based on lifestyle and behavior changes (Therapeutic Lifestyle Change). Her interest in evidence-based treatments led her to complete a predoctoral internship at the Duke University Medical Center where she learned DBT and the Duke Eating Disorder Program where she practiced CBT and group-based interventions for eating disorders. Dr. Karwoski is licensed as a psychologist in the state of Washington.
