Barbara Kleine, M.S. (Staff Therapist)
Before joining EBTCS, Barbara Kleine, MS, worked at Seattle ChildrenÔøΩs for 23 years. She first coordinated the day hospital program and then became a therapist in the outpatient department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. She developed and managed the DBT program at Seattle ChildrenÔøΩs for teens and their parents for 10 years. Barbara is tremendously dedicated to providing effective treatments for adults, teens, and families experiencing problems with emotion dysregulation, impulsivity, eating-related problems, and problems with depression and anxiety. She provides individual psychotherapy, skills training, and parent training, with an emphasis on building a life worth living and improving family relationships. Barbara has an additional interest in the role of culture and spirituality on mental health. She received her Bachelors degree in Sociology from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and her Master of Science in Applied Psychology from Eastern Washington University. She is a licensed mental health counselor in the State of Washington.
