Jordan Lyon, Ph.D. (Clinical Fellow)

Dr. Lyon has extensive experience using strengths-based, cognitive behavioral therapies to help children, adolescents and adults cope with the challenges associated with various types of psychological distress, including mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, chronic suicidality, substance abuse and interpersonal difficulties. Dr. Lyon has a special interest in the psychological well-being of adolescents and young adults, women who are pregnant, post-partum and parenting, and the affect of traumatic events and chronic stress on mental health. Her interest in evidence-based practice developed during her years providing individual, family, couples and group therapy to a diverse clientele in the Chicago-area, where she also conducted research on the relationship between stress, psychological symptoms and parenting.

Dr. Lyon received her B.A. from Brown University in Providence, RI and her Ph.D. from DePaul University in Chicago. She completed a clinical internship at Chicago’s Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and is currently receiving advanced training at the Evidence-Based Treatment Centers of Seattle.
