Jayde Pryzgoda, Ph.D. (Licensed Psychologist)
Dr. Pryzgoda received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Montana. Prior to attending graduate school, she provided crisis counseling related to domestic violence and sexual assault and supervised program volunteers in her position as Crisis Services Coordinator for the YWCA Pathways program in Missoula, Montana. While completing an M.A. in Psychology at Connecticut College, she received training in leading DBT groups through her practicum experience at Women's Partial Hospitalization Program at Butler Hospital in Providence, RI. At the University of Montana, she completed course work in DBT with Dr. Jennifer Waltz and developed her research in the area of Posttraumatic Growth, attempting to understand what facilitates positive life changes in people who have suffered traumatic loss. Dr. Pryzgoda completed a predoctoral internship at the Portland VA Medical Center where she gained a variety of experiences including work with the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Clinical Team, the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, and the Acute Inpatient Unit. Dr. Pryzgoda is very interested in the treatment of Anxiety Disorders, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and body focused repetitive behaviors (including Trichotillomania and compulsive skin picking). She is experienced in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and is also interested in using Mindfulness-based approaches to treatment when indicated. Dr. Pryzgoda also has an active interest working with emotion regulation difficulties, and is experienced in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
