Dorian Hunter-Reel, Ph.D.(Clinical Fellow)
Dr. Hunter-Reel received her BS in psychology from the University of Washington. She then served as research assistant and project manager for Dr. Marsha Linehan at the University of Washington, helping to coordinate several studies examining the efficacy of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Dr. Hunter-Reel went on to complete her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Rutgers University and her clinical internship at the Portland VA Medical Center. She has extensive training and experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as specialized training in behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions for disorders involving behavioral and emotional dysregulation. She works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families struggling with a variety of problems, including substance use, personality disorders, PTSD, interpersonal difficulties, eating disorders, and anxiety and mood disorders. Dr. Hunter-Reel has written a chapter and several peer-reviewed publications and presentations in the areas of personality disorders, addictions, eating disorders, and behavior therapy. She is a member of the Research Society on Alcoholism and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). She also currently serves as research faculty at the University of Washington with Dr. Marsha Linehan on a project evaluating the efficacy of DBT for adolescents.
